Release 1/13 Successful –Gap Discount 25Jan2011

Naukrani, the week gone by is tense filled .......it is most tense filled week of my TCS days.....for the ist time , i m able to track what's in store for me in advance .....i dont think its been abandoned or postponed.....only thing is , nobody will talk about it openly , from now onwards ........they way , everybody were used to do , till now ......Naukrani , ete complex kariki plan kariba gote katha , au seita implement kariba alag katha ....the best casualty is , below mail...Shravan , trying hard to put ur dad in positive light ......but , the way things were planned , he just ended with some sort of drawback.......this is one such incident i m highlighting  , there were numerous incidents like this.......thik kahuchi na madam ......Naukrani , on normal circumstances , this is most sensitive relationship ...u just ask any married person ........but , here our relation just come to stand still , rather than solving it .....u want to complicate it further.........before, providing any sort of solution ......i hope better sense prevail over ur family members .......there is Smita look alike , my sister look a like....there is another girl in our team, cant figure out for whom .....what's the purpose of all these , its too difficult to figure out now (only thing i can figure out is london olympic is too far away from me ).......there is an uneasy clam over here in TCS .......as i believe , everybody changed the language , they were talking till now , the intent still remain intact...it will take sometime on my part to understand, by that time everybody hoping things will be over ........Naukrani , mu thik kahuchi na ......anyway , mu etiki kahi paribi , better sense prevails .........finally , I LOVE U , Naukrani........

 It had been a very challenging project both at DEV and QA end. 
  
You have stood firm and worked together as team to  deliver this project. QA phase has seen several environment and adjudication defects which led to re-execution of test cases. TCS QA has done a tremendous job in executing the majority chunk of core business and functional test cases effectively in 2 week timeframe and discovered many adjudication defects which even the Adjudication Gap Discount team missed. DEV team provided immediate support in resolving the issues and figuring out the workaround solutions to environment issues, so that QA can proceed.  There was only 1 QA defect for this project showing the quality of DEV delivery. 
  
Good work Nitin (Kaushik) in coordinating  and driving the QA execution (for both Onsite & Offshore). During Test Result walkthrough with client/business , you were well prepared and confident. Except Nitin, the entire QA team was new to account & Capital project and performed very well.

TCS Team,  I’m very impressed with the enormous level of effort delivered with the 1/13 release for both the GAP and the Continuous Processing efforts.  The prospect of delivery both of these efforts and particularly the GAP Discount project was daunting and yet, this team worked tirelessly to deliver it on time regardless of the tremendous obstacles that were presented.  This team was creative in solving problems and issues and the leadership from the DEV and QA teams was outstanding.  I’m very aware that this team spent 12-16 hours a day, 7 days a week over several weeks to ensure that we achieved regulatory compliance of the GAP effort and the flexibility of the RCP effort with the delivery of these projects by the 1/13 committed date.
